Learn moreWhat Goes On Your Roof
The material matters less than the install, but it still matters. Here is the honest trade-off between the four systems we put on Puget Sound buildings.
3-Tab Asphalt
- Lowest up-front cost
- Fine for rentals and outbuildings
- Less wind resistance than architectural
- Flat, uniform appearance
Architectural Asphalt
- The default for most homes here
- Better wind and impact rating
- Dimensional, layered look
- Best return if you are selling within a decade
Standing Seam Metal
- Outlasts two asphalt roofs
- Moss does not take hold the same way
- Higher up-front cost
- Worth it if you are staying put
Flat and low-slope sections use TPO or modified bitumen instead. See commercial roofing.
What Customers Say
About the Work
"Called about a leak over our kitchen on a Tuesday and they were out Thursday morning. Found it was the flashing on the chimney, not the shingles like we assumed. Fixed same visit."
"They replaced our whole roof in three days. The crew tarped every garden bed and swept the driveway with a magnet twice. You could not tell they had been there."
"Got three quotes. Theirs was not the cheapest but it was the only one that spelled out what happens if they find rotten decking. That is exactly what happened and the price did not move."
"Moss had taken over the north slope. They cleaned and treated it instead of pushing a new roof on us. Honest people."
